A two-pane rich-text outliner, that helps you organize your information in a hierarchical tree structure

It features print, preview, export to RTF, minimize to system tray, full text-editing features, rearrangement of nodes, full-document search, hyperlinks; on top of being slick, fast, lightweight and open source.

The Guide is an easy-to-use application that will allow you create documents ("guides") that inherently have a tree (which you can modify as you please) and text related with each node of the tree.

The text itself is of the rich-text variety, and the editor permits you to modify the style and formatting of the text (fonts, bold, italics etc).

These are the main features of this software

• Printing Full support for printing and print preview, with configurable heading styles. Entire document, a single node, or the selected subtree is printed.
• Easy Installation Just 722 kB installation file (v1.4). And you can run it even without install, by simply unpacking the binary distribution into a directory -- carry it with you whereever you go on a USB stick.
• Fast and Lightweight Native Win32 C++ application, for speed and efficiency. Low memory footprint.
• Insert Date and Time Insert current date (Ctrl+D) and time (Ctrl+T) while editing text or node titles. Formats are completely configurable:
• Minimize, Save and Backup Options Minimizes to system tray or task bar, auto save, auto backup.
• Configurable Colors and Fonts Set default colors and fonts corresponding to your taste.
• Hyperlinks Hyperlinks to other pages within the guide, or to external URLs.
• Search Search entire tree (or a subtree) for matching text.
• Context-sensitive Status Bar A useful status bar
• Arranging Pages Full support for creating and rearranging nodes. Including handy keyboard shortcuts. Intutive single-click drag-and-drop of nodes, similar to Windows Explorer (v1.6+).
